🎓 $3,000 in scholarships for Fall 2026 – Spring 2027 courses
Atelier La Coulée received a one-time $3,000 grant from Bâtiment 7, as part of the Fonds exceptionnel de soutien et de solidarité économique (Exceptional Economic Support and Solidarity Fund). This amount will be redistributed as partial or full scholarships for our regular courses.
Because indigenous and racialized people are still a minority in our classes and at the shop, we want to help reduce barriers to practicing metalwork and make our community more accessible and representative of the diversity of our communities.
This time, there's no portfolio, no jury: scholarships will be awarded by a lottery/raffle. 🎲
We invite indigenous and racialized people to fill out our short form for a chance to win a scholarship for the course of their choice from our regular programming.
We chose the raffle/lottery system to explore a different way of distributing funds — one that doesn't rely on evaluating the merit or value of an artistic practice, and that gives every eligible application an equal chance of being selected.
📅 Application deadline: September 18 2026
🎓 Scholarship: full or partial, for the course of your choice
🎲 Selection: lottery/raffle among eligible applications
