Gordon Williamson est un compositeur canadien actuellement basé à Hanovre, en Allemagne. Ses activités récentes incluent des commandes de la Ernst von Siemens Musikstiftung, de CBC/SRC, du SWR et du Conseil des arts du Canada, avec des créations par le RSO Stuttgart, les Neue Vocalsolisten, Ars Nova Copenhagen, l’Ensemble Contemporain de Montréal+, l’Asian Art Ensemble et le Sonar Quartett, dans des festivals internationaux tels que MNM, ECLAT, KLANG et le Beijing Modern Music Festival.

Il a enseigné la composition à la Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover en 2010 et il est, depuis 2015, professeur invité de composition et directeur de l’Incontri Institute for New Music.

Gordon Williamson is a Canadian composer currently based in Hanover, Germany. His recent activities include commissions from the Ernst von Siemens Musikstiftung, CBC/Radio-Canada, SWR, and the Canada Council for the Arts, with premieres by the Stuttgart RSO, Neue Vocalsolisten, Ars Nova Copenhagen, Ensemble Contemporain de Montréal+, the Asian Art Ensemble, and the Sonar Quartett at international festivals such as MNM, ECLAT, KLANG, and the Beijing Modern Music Festival.

He taught composition at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover in 2010, and since 2015 he has been Guest Professor of Composition and Director of the Incontri Institute for New Music.

Pôle Relève | Appel de candidatures 📢

Le Vivier ouvre l’appel de candidatures pour la cinquième cohorte de son programme Pôle Relève, destiné aux artistes, ensembles et collectifs émergents en musique de création au Québec.

Critères de sélection :

• Être un·e artiste, un ensemble ou un collectif établi au Québec.
• Œuvrer dans le domaine de la musique de création depuis cinq ans ou moins.
• Qualité artistique et originalité du projet.
• Cohérence entre les besoins du projet et les ressources offertes par le Vivier.

À propos du Pôle Relève :

Financé par le Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ), le Pôle Relève soutient la création émergente grâce à un accompagnement personnalisé, une mise en réseau professionnelle et la circulation d’œuvres. Le programme offre mentorat, promotion, soutien administratif et possibilités de diffusion, permettant aux artistes d’amorcer leur développement professionnel dans un cadre structuré.

En complément, Le Vivier programme les ensembles accompagnés dans ses saisons culturelles et favorise leur mise en relation avec des diffuseurs à Montréal et ailleurs au Canada.
