For over one hundred years, the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal has played an important role in preserving the Greek language, culture and faith of Montrealers of Hellenic heritage. As proud descendants of a great culture and people, we value the opportunity to preserve our Hellenic identity and are determined to pass on an even stronger community to the generations that follows us. Today

and with the strength of over 70,000 voices, we are equally proud of our community’s role in continuing to build a better Montreal, a better Quebec and a better Canada. Leading our achievements is our Ecole Socrates and its five campuses - an institution providing education to 1300 children in three languages on a full time basis. Together with our churches, parades, festivals and services for those less fortunate, our members and volunteers have come to preserve the legacy of our forefathers and are helping pave the way to a brighter future for our children. Encompassing the territories of Montreal, Laval & the South Shore, the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal's purpose is to serve the the Greeks of these regions. Be it Socially, Spiritually or Academically.

A new school year is almost here at HCGM’s Supplementary Education Schools in Montreal, Laval and the South Shore.

Give your child the opportunity to strengthen their Greek language, culture and heritage while learning in a welcoming community environment.

Pour le dernier dimanche-familles de l’été, plongez dans un monde de danse et d’herboristerie ! 🌞

Laissez-vous transporter au rythme des danses folkloriques et des mélodies traditionnelles grecques interprétées par la troupe Orpheas de l’Atelier folklorique de la Communauté hellénique de Montréal et découvrez le rôle des herboristes dans la Grèce antique et les plantes associées aux dieux à travers la présentation de différents produits et un test d’odorat ludique. 🌱

Σας ενημερώνουμε ότι, λόγω εργασιών ασφαλτόστρωσης, το πάρκινγκ μπροστά από τα κεντρικά γραφεία της ΕΚΜΜ, 5777 Wilderton, θα παραμείνει κλειστό από αύριο, Παρασκευή 21 Αυγούστου, έως και τη Δευτέρα 24 Αυγούστου.

Όσοι επιθυμούν να επισκεφθούν τα κεντρικά γραφεία ή άλλες υπηρεσίες της Κοινότητας κατά το διάστημα αυτό, παρακαλούνται να σταθμεύουν τα οχήματά τους στο πάρκινγκ του Καθεδρικού Ι. Ναού Αγίου Γεωργίου, στη γωνία Côte-Sainte-Catherine και Wilderton.

Veuillez noter qu’en raison de travaux d’asphaltage, le stationnement situé devant les bureaux administratifs de la CÉGM, au 5777 Wilderton, sera fermé à compter de demain, vendredi 21 août, jusqu’au lundi 24 août inclusivement.

Les personnes qui souhaitent se rendre aux bureaux administratifs ou à d’autres services de la Communauté durant cette période sont priées de stationner leur véhicule dans le stationnement de la Cathédrale orthodoxe grecque Saint-Georges, à l’angle des rue Côte-Sainte-Catherine et av. Wilderton.

Please be advised that due to asphalt paving work, the parking lot in front of the HCGM administrative offices, located at 5777 Wilderton, will be closed from tomorrow, Friday, August 21, through Monday, August 24, inclusive.

Anyone wishing to visit the administrative offices or other Community services during this period is asked to park in the parking lot of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, at the corner of Côte-Sainte-Catherine and Wilderton.

Everyone pitches in at Festival La Flamme hellénique, including our Executive Director, George Tsantrizos.

Here he is at the grill, preparing Greek sausages alongside our volunteers and helping keep the festival running.

A big thank-you to George and to all our volunteers for the time, energy and teamwork they bring to this event.

This is community in action.

What a night at Festival La Flamme hellénique!

The music is playing, the dancing hasn’t stopped, and Park Ex is full of energy.

Tonight is the closing night, so if you haven’t joined us yet, this is your chance.

Come celebrate with us one last time! Greek food, live music, dancing and a great summer atmosphere.

Tonight until 11 p.m. on St-Roch in Park Ex. Admission is free.
