The group consists of established researchers and graduate (Masters and Doctoral) students who conduct research into the variables that are related to the process and outcome of psychotherapy. Variables that we have examined include: the therapeutic alliance, emotional expression and experiencing, therapist interventions and techniques, psychopathology and patient defensive and cognitive functioning, therapeutic modalities including psychodynamic, experiential and cognitive behavioral intervention therapeutic outcome.
