📢 Call for Papers — BACK to the THINGS THEMSELVES! (BTTTT!) 2027

BTTTT! is inviting submissions for its 2027 workshop, part of the Society for Existential and Phenomenological Theory and Culture (EPTC) meeting at Brock University, St. Catharines, Ontario, 10–13 June 2027.

Papers should offer a rigorous, original description of a specific phenomenon in the lived world, along with an explanation of the method used to generate it (generally under 4,000 words / 30 minutes to read). Include a cover sheet with title, 100-word abstract, author name, institutional affiliation, and email address.

The Atlantic Region Philosophers' Association invites submissions for its 2026 Annual Meeting, 23–24 October 2026 at Acadia University, Wolfville, Nova Scotia. This year's theme is Freedom of Expression and Academic Freedom, with a keynote from Shannon Dea (Saint Mary's University) on "Does academic freedom have any future?"

📢 Postdoctoral Associate in Socially Responsible Computing
Western University's Department of Philosophy, jointly with Computer Science, is seeking a postdoctoral fellow for a 2-year position in socially responsible algorithm design and human-centered AI. Areas of interest include algorithms for mitigating polarization in online social networks and human-AI ensembles integrating human judgment with machine intelligence.

Candidates should hold a PhD in Computer Science, Philosophy, or a closely related field, with a technical background and demonstrated interest in the philosophical, ethical, or societal dimensions of computing.
