L'an dernier ร pareille date, Roger Sinha รฉtait ร รdimbourg ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ. Il jouait dans la rue pendant le plus grand Fringe Festival au monde. Il y a beaucoup ร apprendre sur ce que veut dire performer dans la rue, et ร quel point c'est loin du thรฉรขtre.

Sa prรฉsentation, trop intellectuelle, ne passait pas. Alors il a changรฉ d'approche. Plus immรฉdiate, plus ludique, plus vivante. Dans la rue, l'attention se mรฉrite ๐. Pas de rideau, pas de public captif. Les gens peuvent partir.
Il poursuit ce chemin aujourd'hui, en sortant la danse et la musique du thรฉรขtre pour les amener dans la rue.

Last year at this time, Roger Sinha was in Edinburgh ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ, performing on the streets during the largest Fringe Festival in the world. He learned a lot about what it means to perform in the street โ and how different it is from performing in a theatre.
A colleague there gave him a piece of advice that stuck with him: "๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ง'๐ญ ๐๐จ ๐๐ญ๐๐ง๐ข๐ฌ๐ฅ๐๐ฏ๐ฌ๐ค๐ข. ๐๐ ๐๐จ ๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐จ๐ฅ๐ญ ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ก๐ญ."
His more intellectual presentation wasn't connecting. It fell flat. So he shifted gears. More immediate, more playful, more alive. On the street, you have to earn people's attention ๐. There's no curtain, no captive audience. People can simply walk away.
He's continuing that journey now, bringing dance and music out of the theatre and into the street.
