June 12, 2026 at 3:30 PM

Unifor Local 2002 is pleased to announce that Unifor members at Air Canada Mainline have successfully ratified a new four-year collective agreement by 94 percent.

The newly ratified agreement includes a broad range of improvements aimed at recognizing the dedication and professionalism of Air Canada members while strengthening long-term job security and workplace protections.

Among the highlights of the agreement are important scope protections that retain work for Jazz Aviation, and new scope work for PAL Airlines, ensuring stability and security within the regional airline network. The agreement also delivers meaningful enhancements to medical and mental health benefits, reflecting the growing importance of supporting workers’ overall health and well-being.

Additional gains include increases to shift premiums and longevity premiums, improved pension benefits, negotiated wage increases throughout the life of the agreement, and a signing bonus for eligible members.

"This agreement delivers real improvements that recognize the hard work and commitment of our members," said Tammy Moore, President of Unifor Local 2002. "The bargaining committee worked tirelessly to secure gains that strengthen wages, benefits, pensions, and job security while protecting important scope language. This agreement shows what can happen when we put members’ needs first."

Unifor Local 2002 also wishes to thank the bargaining committee and the membership for their solidarity and engagement throughout the bargaining process.

"The committee and members stood strong and united throughout this round of bargaining, and this agreement reflects their determination to secure a runway for work-life balance and to keep up with the cost of living so they can further thrive in the aviation industry," said Unifor National President Lana Payne. "Our members keep Air Canada flying every day, and this agreement recognizes the value of the work they do for passengers across the country."

The new agreement will expire on February 28, 2030.

Le nouvel accord expirera le 28 février 2030.
