Incorporated in 1927, the original purpose of the University Women’s Club of Montreal, Inc. The UWCM is a private, non-profit organization that brings together university women graduates from diverse academic and profession

As we begin 2026, we celebrate the enduring legacy of McGill women: leaders, innovators, and changemakers across generations.

Here’s to a year of collaboration, growth, and collective progress within our global alumni community, captured beautifully through the artwork of Daria Kiseleva (McGill Tribune).

Dear Members,

This December brings us both sorrow and resilience. We sadly marked December 6 here in Montreal, and over the weekend, we were confronted with tragic events abroad. They weigh heavily on us all.

At the same time, Hanukkah brings its message of light and perseverance, and Christmas will soon offer peace and goodwill. They remind us that hope endures in difficult times.

Let us reaffirm together that our Club shares the positive values of these holidays. We can be proud that UWCM is a space of tolerance, compassion, and community, now and looking forward to the New Year.

Warm regards,
Lorraine O’Donnell

President, UWCM

✨ Meet the Board! ✨

Today in our “Meet the Board” series, we’re proud to introduce Lorraine O’Donnell, our UWCM President. A historian and researcher specializing in community groups and women’s history, Lorraine brings a depth of knowledge and a strong commitment to elevating women’s voices. Her academic work at Concordia University, combined with her passion for music, reading, and the outdoors, reflects her broad curiosity and dedication to lifelong learning.
