Au Contraire Montréal Film Festival on Mental Health in support of UP House

The Au Contraire Film Festival is an initiative of Paradis Urbain, a Canadian registered charity, whose greater mission is assisting individuals, who, due to their mental illness, are having difficulty moving forward and recovering their lives. Recognizing the power of creative expression as a catalyst that inspires Montreal citizens to take action, Paradis Urbain, through the Au Contraire Film Festival, strives to dispel stereotypes and reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness.

The Au Contraire Film Festival Fundraising Gala is quickly approaching, and tickets are going fast.

🎟️ Reserve your tickets now through the link in bio.

For its 14th year, the ACFF Gala will bring together community leaders, philanthropists, mental health advocates, and people working across Montréal’s mental health continuum for an inspiring evening of film, dialogue, and connection.

This year, the Gala explores one of the central concerns of our time: the critical need for human empathy and reflection in a rapidly evolving digital society shaped by the rise of artificial intelligence.

The evening will feature two exclusive Canadian film premieres, followed by a panel discussion exploring the films’ themes and the intersection of AI, robotics, and mental health from diverse perspectives. We’ll also welcome our very special guest, X2 Lite humanoid robot.

Your presence makes an impact far beyond one evening. The Fundraising Gala supports the critical work of UP House, a strength-based, restorative community for adults whose lives have been disrupted by mental health challenges. Its evidence-based model, unique in Québec, helps eliminate social isolation while rebuilding confidence, purpose, and community.

Join us October 26 for an unforgettable evening of film, connection, compassion, and community.
