The Council of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (CAOS) represents all graduate students and postdocs, diploma students, trainees and research assistants in the Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (AOS) department at McGill University. It gives students a voice in student-related academic and administrative issues. The CAOS organizes activities for its members and promotes events among students. As an

officially recognized, autonomous student group of the PGSS of McGill University, the CAOS acts as a liaison with the association of all graduate students and postdoctoral fellows at McGill.
