During this time however we are a) still available for any animals adopted through RFTSR since 2008 whom find themselves in need of further support; and b) supporting the activities of other animal rescues like Moustache Cat Adoption and Cool Dogs Rescue. Thank you for all your support. We are a small no-kill, foster-based res
cue operation that has many unique qualities. We deal primarily with special cases such as late-term pregnancies that are at risk for complications, special medical cases, and special needs animals that can benefit from our approach to rescue. We are one of the few rescue groups to feed a primarily raw diet and offer homeopathic veterinary care. For animals that are less adoptable, we have a permanent foster program in which we maintain these animals in home environments for the duration of their lives while providing them with everything they require. We are looking to spread the word in order to better help both the adoptable and permanent foster animals in our care as well as take in more animals that need our help. The cats and dogs in our organization come from pounds, shelters and other rescues. We do not normally accept owner relinquishments or individuals who know someone with an animal to re-home or those who have found animals they cannot keep or re-home. We feel this is the way we can best work with the cases that can truly benefit from our method of care. Reach For The Stars Rescue supports other animal rescue organizations and shelters that work for the betterment of the lives of all animals in need. We enjoy and encourage rescues and shelters to work together to make a greater change and plead with the pounds, in a non-political way, to allow us to help save lives they are not able to. We are an organization entirely dependant on private donation from kind individuals like yourself. It takes a lot of money to care for all these animals the way we do and we are grateful for all donations, both large and small. We do not yet have charitable status but hope to have our paperwork filled out and submitted a.s.a.p so we will be able to offer tax receipts in the future.
