With funding from Unity for Autism and drawing on the invaluable lived experiences shared by our community, we’re creating a series of short, practical videos to help parents better understand and see the world through their teenager’s eyes.
Because a late autism diagnosis can leave parents wondering: “What does this really mean for my teen and how can I help?”
How can parents respond with greater understanding?
What challenges are they experiencing?
Ultimately, these resources aim to help parents become advocates for their teenagers at home, at school and in society at large, while fostering a relationship built on respect, validation and mutual understanding. By supporting parents, they can better create an environment in which their autistic teenager thrives by developing a deeper understanding of themselves.
