On International Women’s Day, BWES honours the resilience and courage of Palestinian women and girls in Gaza who endure unimaginable hardships amidst the ongoing conflict. As we celebrate global strides towards gender equality, we also must emphasize the relentless challenges they face.

With this year’s theme, “Women in the Changing World of Work,” which highlights women’s achievements and the evolving work landscape’s impact, we are encouraged to remember those living in conflict zones. An estimated 9,000 women have lost their lives in recent months - a stark reminder of the urgent need for gender equality and empowerment everywhere. Today, we stand in solidarity with Palestinian women and girls, advocating for their recognition, protection, and the realization of their full potential in their current struggle and beyond.

This November, we encourage everyone to stand in solidarity, listen, uplift, and advocate for every survivor.
