People come decide to create events for different reasons — from economic opportunity to self-expression, from building platforms to building communities. This conversation is for those shaping nightlife with intention: the organizers, the future organizers, and the dancers who sustain it. We’ll look at what it takes to make events that endure — financially, emotionally, and culturally — before opening out into wider reflections on what sustaining independent nightlife in today’s nightlife economy actually means. Amsterdam based cultural organizer, artist and dj is the special guest in conversation with .mu co-founder, creative director and artist manager — don’t miss this!

Club Sagacité is 100% non-profit and tonight we are accepting donation as entry. You can make a donationin the amount of your choice via the link in our bio. Members are welcome to join for free. Please share and invite anyone you think that would enjoy the discussion.

The discussion will follow a dj set by our member .dez__ (she’s amazing), some complimentary bevies and informal professional liming.

You asked — and we listened. We’re back with another Ableton Workshop, this time led by none other than JUNO-nominated producer Jordan Gardner.

Known for blending the rhythmic cadences of UK, Detroit, and Chicago sounds with global club influences, Jordan’s productions spark both movement and euphoria in equal measure.

This session — Creative Sampling & Drum Programming — is perfect for those who’ve started exploring Ableton and want to deepen their craft. The workshop will be intentionally small (capped at 10 participants) to ensure an intimate, hands-on experience that leaves you a few steps further on your producer path than when you came in.

Taking it back to one of last summer’s real highlights — when Chicago legend sat down with for Club Sagacité’s Industry Insights. There were so many gems shared that day, but one of the most powerful takeaways was this: staying rooted and devoted to your music community is what truly builds lasting cultural foundations.

To close out the evening, set the tone with an exclusive set as members shared a drink.

Missing Industry Insights? We have something planned for November so stay tuned.

LOOPING & PHRASING — if you’re not already doing this, then this crash course might be for you. Whether you’re just starting out or wanted to tighten your sets, this is a hands-on session to work on these two specific techniques.

“Phrasing”
Refers to the skill of aligning the musical structure of two tracks when mixing them together. Even if two tracks are perfectly beat matched, poor phrasing can make a mix feel off. Good phrasing preserves musical tension and release.

“Looping”
Refers to the technique of repeating a short section of a track to build tension, create smoother transitions or remix tracks live.

This class is free for members, $10 for general admission.

We keep are classes intimate — spots are limited. DM or email [email protected] to RSVP.
