The WBBF is excited to invite you to the first event of the year! Please join us on June 27th for a networking event with people from the basketball community, business world, friends, family, and more.
We have received so much great feedback on what we have been doing for the female basketball players in Montreal, and we can’t do it without you. Please help us continue our mission with a 25$ donation (more is always welcome obviously) and join us for a great social gathering.

Jade is a combo guard who battled both on and off the court to become the wonderful person and player she is today. She was able to convince us to support her financially through her university journey to come by giving a clear vision of what her future looks like and how WBBF can be involved. Congrats Jade💫

Jade est une garde qui s’est battue pour affronter les différentes épreuves sur et en dehors du terrain tout au long de son parcours et qui font qu’elle est la magnifique personne qu’elle est aujourd’hui. Jade nous a convaincu de lui donner une chance en la supportant financiçrement dans son parcours universitaire en nous donnant une vision claire de son futur et comment Le fond du Basketball Féminin va pouvoir faire partie de ce beau projet. Mariama Toupey

We are delighted to introduce our first-ever grant recipient, Mariama Toupey, a true young leader in the world of women's basketball. Her journey is a testament to the strength, determination, and excellence that define the athletes we aim to support through The Women Basketball Fund.

Mariama isn't just a remarkable athlete; she's a symbol of empowerment and inspiration. Her story reflects the values and mission of The Women Basketball Fund.

Early Beginnings: Mariama's love for basketball began at a young age, and her talent was evident from the start. She hails from Montreal, where her journey as a basketball player took flight.
Achievements: Mariama has achieved numerous milestones in her career, including top 3 rebounders in the league, top 5 in steals and top 10 in minutes played.
Off the Court: Beyond her exceptional skills on the basketball court, Mariama is actively involved in supporting her friends, family and community.

The Women Basketball Fund is proud to stand beside Mariama in her journey. We believe in her potential to inspire future generations and make an impact on women's basketball.

We are so excited to launch ´The Women Basketball Fund’ to support Canadian women’s basketball players who wants to pursue their athletic and academic career in college.

Each year through The Women Basketball Fund we'll be granting up to $5,000 CAD to female Canadian student-athletes as they begin their journey through post-secondary education.

We firmly believe that education should never be a barrier to success, and we're dedicated to ensuring that these deserving athletes have the financial support they need to pursue their dreams on and off the court.

The Women Basketball Fund is officially administered by KBF FOUNDATION CANADA / FONDATION KBF CANADA, a member of Philanthropic Foundations Canada / Fondations philanthropiques Canada.
