HanVoice is a non-profit human rights organization focused on building Canadian solutions for a free and prosperous Korea.

At HanVoice Concordia, we plan grassroots initiatives to raise awareness for North Korean human rights. At HanVoice, we envision a world where North Koreans can live in freedom and prosperity. We are developing “Made in Canada” solutions for a free and prosperous Korean Peninsula. As a student chapter of HanVoice, HanVoice Concordia helps further the organization's mission by raising awareness on North Korea's human rights situation, raising funds, and training students to be human rights practitioners.

Concordia!! Welcome back to another Fact Friday!

This week, we’ve covered how Internet operates in North Korea. 🛜

As the Internet has grown to be essential for modern society, how has North Korea tried to catch up, and what does that mean for its people? Naturally, Internet under the regime continues to be heavily regulated as a tool to further abuse the freedoms of North Korean people. Explore some of our examples in the post above!

Good luck with exams and check back soon for another Fact Friday! 📚✍️

Hey Concordia! Welcome back for another Fact Friday!

This week, we’re presenting research on how the Kim Regime handles trade with its allies. The methods of trade used by the government have brought in only little support for the North Korean people. As explored in previous HanVoice projects, particularly the Jangmadang or Black Markets of North Korea, the North Korean people rely heavily on illegal trade to support their economy and avoid famine.

Help us spread the word about North Korean human rights abuses by staying up to date with our chapter! More info can be found in our bio 🇨🇦🔝
