The 2026 Spring Runoff gives one young driver the opportunity to earn entry into the FEED Racing Shootout in France and take the next step toward a fully funded French Formula 4 season.
This is the same pathway that took Spring Runoff winner Kevin Foster from karting to a full French F4 campaign, where he finished 3rd overall in the championship.

R2R x Mercedes-Benz Canada Youth In Motorsport scholarship winner Alexis Baillargeon has advanced to the 1/4 finals shootout at the FEED Racing school! Using funding from the $50,000 scholarship, Alexis travelled to France to take the renowned 5 day racing school, and in the process has also advanced to the shootout rounds to compete for a full France F4 scholarship!!!

Today, we’re incredibly proud to announce that Alexis Baillargeon has been selected as the inaugural recipient of the Mercedes-Benz Canada x Road To Racing High Performance Scholarship.

After an extremely competitive national application process featuring some of Canada’s top young racing talent, Alexis emerged as a deserving winner, impressing our judges with his skill, maturity, and potential.

This is exactly why Road To Racing exists.

Canada has extraordinary young drivers.

But too often, talent alone isn’t enough. Motorsport is expensive, and for many families, the financial barriers are simply overwhelming.

This scholarship is about changing that.

It’s about creating real opportunity for exceptional young athletes who have earned their shot.

We’re also incredibly grateful to Mercedes-Benz Canada for stepping up in such a meaningful way.
