Maud is a Senior Lighting and Compositing artist as Cinesite with 10 years of industry experience in Feature and Short Film, TV, and Commercial projects.

⭐ This circle is ideal for Entry or Mid level lighting/comp artists who have experience in TV or Feature Film and who want to know more about managing a sequence from scratch.

Margot Ingrassia is your host and a Recruitment Specialist at Framestore. With five years experience, Margot has recruited across multiple departments within the visual effects industry and is curious to discover new skills and opportunities. Originally from France, Margot has resided within Montreal for the last six years. Her partnership with WIA Montreal is in part inspired by her connection to her two sisters, and how important it is to keep the bonds between women strong. Thank you to Margot for contributing your skills and insight to our community in the form of this workshop!

Join us for a jump into Unreal Engine 5.6 and bring your 2D art skills into 3D. Learn to create a cinematic shot or still render in just a few hours. Whether you’re an illustrator, motion designer, filmmaker or student looking to break into real-time creation, this workshop is your gateway into Unreal. No prior 3D experience needed, just bring your creative eye!

This workshop will be streamed Live on the WIA Montreal YouTube channel alongside being hosted on our Discord server.

What You’ll Learn
- How to quickly navigate Unreal Engine’s interface
- Translate your 2D design instincts into 3D layouts and compositions
- Frame like a painter using real-time cameras and cinematic tools
- Light your scene to build mood, story, and visual depth
- Polish and export your render

What You’ll Do
- Get hands-on with asset placement, lighting, and camera work
- Work with tools like PureRef and free assets from FAB
- Create a short cinematic or image

This workshop will be streamed in English but will contain French support via the Live Chat.
