[CHARGE FOR CHANGE⚡] On Earth Day, the final two site openings of our “Charge for Change” program, carried out in partnership with Aviva Canada, were celebrated in Fort Erie, Ontario, and Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan. 🌎🚗🔌

In Fort Erie, Ontario, municipal representatives and community members gathered on April 22 to inaugurate 4 new stations and 8 chargers in the presence of Mayor Wayne Redekop, Chris McQueen, Chief Administrative Officer, and Anamika Dilwaria, Director of Planning and Development Services.

“These new EV charging stations are a practical step forward in delivering on Council’s Strategic Plan. They expand access to clean transportation, support environmental responsibility, and position Fort Erie for sustainable growth,” said Wayne Redekop. “This project reflects our commitment towards a greener, more resilient community for residents to enjoy.”

The same day in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan, the community also celebrated the installation of 2 stations and 4 chargers in the presence of Mayor Mathieu Forest and Ariel Haug, Economic Development Officer.

“I’m thrilled to share that Gravelbourg secured funding through the Charge for Change program for two new EV charging stations, thanks to the efforts of our Economic Development Office,” said Mathieu Forest. “This investment is a significant step forward for our community, putting us on the map as a stop for travellers moving through the province while providing a much-needed service for our residents.”

Together, these final installations mark the completion of the Charge for Change program and continue to strengthen Canada’s EV charging network while supporting more sustainable transportation options from coast to coast. ⚡

[CHARGE FOR CHANGE⚡] The community of Arcadia (NB), celebrated the grand opening of its very first public EV charging stations, installed through our “Charge for Change” program in partnership with Aviva Canada. 🚗🔌

Held on March 20, the event brought together Arcadia officials, staff and community members to mark this important milestone for sustainable transportation in the municipality. Attendees also had the opportunity to take part in a live EV charging demonstration.

With the installation of 2 stations and 4 chargers, residents and visitors alike will now have greater access to charging infrastructure while travelling through the region.

“Arcadia is grateful to have been chosen as a recipient under the Charge for Change program. This funding made possible the first two public charging stations in our municipality and will enable residents and visitors alike to reduce carbon emissions by using electric vehicles,” said Mayor Clinton Sharpe. “Arcadia embodies its name – peace and simplicity in harmony with nature – and this project supports our efforts for sustainable energy-efficient development while preserving our breathtaking landscapes and rural way of life.”
