THRIVE Project aims to address the lack of cultural programming and awareness of resources for Indigenous Youth in care and workers at Batshaw Youth and Family Centers. In addition, this project aims to join Montreal Indigenous community resources and organizations and partners to implement a pilot project that gives Indigenous Youth in Care access to resources and cultural programming. Background

:
This project is led by Dez Gregoire, an Indigenous Mcgill student in her second year. As a former youth in care, she acknowledges the past barriers and challenges of lacking support for Indigenous youth in care to support their cultural identity and connection with the Indigenous community. The goal is to bring the Indigenous community and Youth Protection together to address the current needs of Indigenous Youth in care and, implement culturally sensitive services and approaches within the Youth Protection Systems.
