Garden of the Gulf Museum Established in 1958, the Garden of the Gulf Museum is dedicated to preserving the local history of the Three Rivers area. We look forward to hosting you!

Our beautiful Romanesque Revival building is a recognized Canadian Heritage building. It was constructed in 1888, by Thomas Fuller, to serve as a Post Office and Customs house for "Montague Bridge". This remained our post office until 1954, when the growth of the town

made the construction of a new facility necessary. It was at this time the Junior Board of Trade was formed, in Montague, to establish PEI's first museum. They were able to purchase the building for $1 and in 1958 we were proud to open our doors to the public. The museum is dedicated to preserving the history of the Three Rivers area and sharing it with the public. We have three floors filled with interesting displays and beautiful artifacts. Enjoy a guided tour and learn more about our rich culture and heritage.
