Migdal Ohr plays a pivotal role in protecting 12,000 of Israel's most vulnerable children. Migdal Ohr “Tower of Light” was established in 1972 by Rabbi Yitzchak Dovid

Grossman, Israel Prize Winner and Presidential Medal of Distinction recipient. Through its top-class, country-wide network of schools and educational programs, Migdal Ohr has cemented itself as an essential institution in Israel’s infrastructure. Based in Migdal HaEmek in Israel’s north, the organization is among Israel’s leading nonprofits, providing free essential services - housing, schooling, medical and dental care, clothing, libraries, after school enrichment courses and vocational training - annually to:
- Orphans
- Abused children
- Impoverished children
- New immigrant children
- Youth with drug addiction
- Youth in trouble with the law
- Ultra Orthodox youth that stray from their upbringing.

Starting the New School Year at Migdal Ohr

Rabbi Yitzchak David Grossman visited Migdal Ohr's Talmud Torah to welcome students and staff as they begin a new year of learning and growth.

During his visit, he also toured the construction of the new covered sports and recreation area, which will provide students with an exciting new space to play, grow, and thrive.

Earlier this week, Ohr Yisraeli Kiryat Ata celebrated its outstanding graduates alongside their parents, family, and friends. The evening was made even more meaningful with the completion of a tractate of Talmud, marking a truly special milestone.

Following a recent Ohr Yisraeli Tzur Hadassh club outing, one of the parents shared heartfelt feedback, expressing appreciation for the incredible planning, dedication, and care invested in every activity.

Meitiva students enjoyed an exciting summer adventure filled with wakeboarding and a thrilling high ropes course. From gliding across the water to navigating obstacles high above the ground with safety harnesses, students challenged themselves, supported one another, and built confidence every step of the way.

Migdal Ohr assists thousands of vulnerable children and youth across Israel in building a brighter future. One such example is Shany Levi, who first came to Migdal Ohr at the age of six. She had been playing the violin since she was three years old. At Migdal Ohr, Shani received support and a safe space to develop and enhance her talents. She also received a new violin! Today, she is performing on the global stage with her violin and has been awarded three AICF excellence scholarships!
