District U-1 Convention Report
A Remarkable Convention to Remember
Over the weekend, Lions Clubs District U-1, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, successfully hosted its District Convention at the Centre Roger-Rousseau in Anjou. The event brought together Lions Clubs, members, and distinguished Lion leaders from across the district in a spirit of fellowship, reflection, and celebration.
The convention served as a platform to commemorate the achievements of the 2025–2026 Lions service year under the leadership of District Governor, Lion Diane Boudreau. It was a moment of unity and pride, highlighting the collective impact of service initiatives carried out throughout the year.
In her address, District Governor Diane Boudreau expressed heartfelt appreciation to members of the district, stating:
“I would like to thank you for the trust that you have placed in me. It is with great emotion that I bring this year to a close a year filled with wonderful memories, experiences, and meaningful encounters. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to grow, both socially and personally. You believed in me and supported me when I needed it.”
She also acknowledged the support of the District Governor-Elect, Lion Sara Nadeau, noting “dear future District Governor Sara, you were there when I needed you, and I will never forget it. I am deeply grateful to you, and you can count on me as well.”
The convention concluded on a high note, leaving attendees inspired and motivated to continue advancing the mission of Lions Clubs International through dedicated service and leadership.
