💪 Feats of strength 🦞 Feasts of lobster

The Greater Moncton Highland Games & Scottish Festival is proud to welcome the Scottish Athletics International Masters World Championships back to Moncton, New Brunswick in 2027!

Our competition field is just a 15-minute from an international airport - and roughly a 2.5-hour drive from the US border in Maine. We will share details of several local hotel room blocks later in September. Most are a 10-20 minute walk from the field - perfect for supporting friends & family to attend & cheer you on!

We also have solo & band piping & drumming competitions, highland dance competitions, a 5K Tartan Fun Run / Walk, kids' zone, agricultural & historical presentations, & more! Check out our website for information & watch for updates. (Any questions regarding competing in the MWC should be directed to SAI.)

Our 2027 MWC patch - designed by Carole Goguen, of Creative Cat Design - features the silhouette of an athlete on the ocean floor, holding a caber, against the backdrop of the Hopewell Rocks.

The Hopewell Rocks are geographical formations shaped by centuries of tides along New Brunswick’s Bay of Fundy. The Rocks showcase strength and endurance, just as Masters athletes display power and grace while competing in events that have withstood the tests of time.

Congrats to all the dancers at Cowal Highland Gathering - with a special shout out to two Nova Scotia dancers & friends of our Games who are through to the World Adult Championships! 👏👏👏 EDITED to ADD: Huge shout out to another Nova Scotia dancer we often host at our Games who placed 4th in the Scottish Championships & will also compete in the World Championships in the Juvenile class! Way to go Sarah, Olivia, & Marielle!
