We are incredibly grateful to Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities for their generous support of our adaptive sport programming here in the Annapolis Valley.

Thanks to Jumpstart funding, we’ve been able to repair and maintain our sport wheelchairs and secure consistent facility space—removing key barriers and opening the door for more youth and adults of all abilities to participate in wheelchair basketball. 🏀

This support goes far beyond equipment. It helps create a safe, inclusive environment where participants can build confidence, stay active, and feel a true sense of belonging in sport.

From our weekly programs to outreach events and Try-Sport opportunities, Jumpstart’s impact is being felt across our entire community—and we are proud to recognize their contribution in helping us grow and reach more participants.

It with a heavy heart to share that we lost a very special member of the WCBB community this week. Coach Bowsey was very well known to our coaching staff and many veterans in our organization.

RIP Coach, your spirit of the sport lives on.

We are super excited to announce that there will be a WCBB tournament next week in Halifax on 31 Jan 2026.

- $25 per person to register
- ages 12+
- minimal skills needed (you must have sat in a chair at least once and understand the basics of WCBB at a minimum)
- teams will be mixed and divided up on the day based on the various skill levels & classifications
- Able bodies welcomed
- chairs could be provided if needed
- this tourney is just for fun; bring your smiles.
