THIRD. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and community life;

Yesterday's lunch meeting at Loft 331 featured Patrick Richard, Executive Director of Downtown Moncton Centre-ville Inc., who spoke with our members about the work being done to keep our downtown vibrant, welcoming, and thriving.

A strong downtown benefits everyone in Greater Moncton, from local businesses to residents to visitors, and it was great to hear how Downtown Moncton is helping shape the heart of our city.

🌍 Our Youth Exchange students are making memories across New Brunswick!

The Rotary Club of Moncton is so proud of our Youth Exchange students, who have been busy exploring their new home away from home this September.

From September 18–20, they joined 11 Rotary Youth Exchange students from around the world for an Orientation Weekend at Camp Tignish. It was a weekend of new friendships, cultural exchange, an international potluck featuring dishes from each student's home country, and a sunset boat ride to remember. 🚤🌅

Then on September 26, they were off to discover the Fundy coast, with stops at Hopewell Rocks, Crooked Creek Lookout, Herring Cove Beach, and Dickson Falls. And of course, no trip to Alma is complete without Kelly's Bakery sticky buns! 🥐

A heartfelt thank you to our friends at the Rotary Club of Moncton West & Riverview, especially Youth Exchange Officer Sherry Trenholm and Event Coordinator and Student Counsellor Julianna Mutch, for organizing these wonderful experiences. Thank you as well to all the volunteers and drivers who made it possible. 💙💛

This is what Rotary Youth Exchange is all about: building friendships that cross borders and cultures, one adventure at a time.

Last night our members gathered at 's home to officially launch the 2026 Prestige Car Draw, our biggest fundraiser of the year.

A huge thank you to Rob for opening his home, and to the chef from for serving up all-you-can-eat gourmet pizza, made fresh on the spot. Add some good w**e and great company, and it was the perfect way to get the campaign rolling.

The energy in the room says it all: we're ready to make this year's draw our best one yet. Every ticket sold supports the projects and causes Rotary champions right here in our community.

A great Rotary meeting last week with Nick Earle, Principal of Sunny Brae Middle School. It was wonderful to learn more about all the exciting things happening at Sunny Brae and how deeply involved Nick is in the school community. Rotary has always been a proud supporter of Sunny Brae, and that support will continue. Thank you, Nick, for taking the time to share directly with our members. 👏

🌟 Celebrating Service Above Self 🌟

A couple of weeks back, our club came together for a wonderful get-together at Brian's place — more on that coming soon! 🏡

But today, the spotlight belongs to someone truly deserving: Stephan (Steve) Beyea, who was presented with the Paul Harris Fellow recognition by our President, Edgar Allain. 👏

For those unfamiliar with it, the Paul Harris Fellow is one of Rotary's most meaningful honours. It's named after Paul Harris, the Chicago lawyer who founded Rotary back in 1905 and set in motion a movement now spanning the globe. The recognition celebrates individuals whose contributions reflect the very heart of Rotary — "Service Above Self." It's typically given to those who have shown exceptional dedication to their community and to the causes Rotary champions, from local outreach to Rotary's worldwide humanitarian and educational work.

Steve, thank you for everything you do. Your generosity, your commitment, and your tireless community service make a real difference here in Moncton and beyond. We're proud and grateful to have you as part of the Rotary Club of Moncton. 🙌

🌭☀️ What a fantastic afternoon on the deck at the Alma Club!

Our members gathered this week for a wonderful summer BBQ, kicked off by a presentation from President Edgar Allain . Great food, great company, and the kind of fellowship that has been at the heart of Moncton Rotary.

Leading the way since 1920 and established as a Charity in 1967!

Thank you to everyone who came out — it was great connecting with old friends and new faces alike. This is what Rotary is all about: community, service, and a good meal shared together. 🤝

Today was an awesome day to celebrate students. We presented 4 students from the surrounding area with scholarships to pursue their career dreams. These memorial scholarships are named and based on past Moncton Rotary Club members who served our community with service above self. (Pictured L to R. Anne Poirier Basque, Scholarship Committee Chair, Mathieu Haché attended Moncton High School and received the Dr. Ralph Fitch Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,500, Sydney Wood attended Bernice McNaughton High School and received the Avard Marven Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,500, Oluwa-Tomi Owolabi attended École L'Odyssée and received the Robert Poirier Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,500, Jesse Boudreau attended Harrison Trimble High School and received the James Roberts Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1,500 and Edgar Allain, New President of Moncton Rotary Club as of July 1, 2026).
