🕊️ May 15 Nakba Day: 78 Years Since the Catastrophe 🕊️

Today marks 78 years since the Nakba (“The Catastrophe”) — when over 750,000 Palestinians were forcibly expelled from their homes and lands in 1948.

🔴 70+ massacres committed
🔴 ~15,000 Palestinians killed
🔴 500+ villages depopulated and destroyed
🔴 6 million refugees & descendants still denied their Right to Return (UN Resolution 194)

🔥 The Nakba Is Still Ongoing

📍 Gaza: Genocide, siege, and destruction continue. Israel’s “Yellow Line” now covers 58% of Gaza, declared a “new border” by Israeli military leadership.

📍 West Bank: Settlements up 50% in 3 years, with 5 settler attacks per day. Annexation accelerating at unseen rates since 1967.

📍 East Jerusalem: 1,500 Palestinians in al-Bustan being forced out for a biblical theme park. 50+ homes demolished since Oct 7, 2023.

🇨🇦 Canada’s Complicity

- Canadians still serve in the Israeli military in Gaza
- In 2025, Canada refused to classify Nakba denial as anti-Palestinian racism
- Canada continued arming Israel while genocide unfolded in Gaza

✊ This Nakba Day, We Stand With Palestine

We demand:

✅ Freedom
✅ Justice
✅ The Right to Return
✅ An end to the ongoing Nakba

The Nakba is not history. It is now.
