Tonight the Cubs visited the 8th Canadian Hussars. (Princess Louise's) Our guide, Master Corporal Melvin, took the youth to see the unit present for inspection.(very similar to their own weekly inspection) Toured the garrison,learned about the history of the unit and their present day activities like serving in Latvia and helping Canadians during natural disasters like flooding and forest fires. Then they went to check out one of the units' G wagon jeeps. Master Corporal Melvin then showed us some of the equipment the Canadian Forces wears in the field and the kids( and leaders) had a relay race to see who could put it on the fastest. Then some of the kids volunteered to get their faces painted before heading home.
