We are seeking a member of the public to serve as a Lay Representative on the Council of the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists. Eligible applicants for the Lay Representative position must be current residents of New Brunswick who have never been a licensed pharmacy professional. Individuals with a financial background or training are preferred.

The College is committed to promoting and protecting the health and well-being of the public in New Brunswick. Lay Representatives play a vital role on Council, offering valuable perspectives and holding the same voting rights as other Council members.

A reminder to all pharmacy professionals that annual renewal is now open and must be completed no later than November 30. This includes the renewal of the Certificate of Operation of the pharmacy, which is to be completed by the Pharmacy Manager.

The College marks World Patient Safety Day on September 17 by calling attention to pharmacy professionals’ guiding principal that they have a duty to act in the patient’s best interest. This year’s Patient Safety Day theme, set by the World Health Organization (WHO), is “Engaging patients for patient safety” and draws attention to the important role patients and their caregivers play in their care.
