Join us tonight at 6:30 for our Walk in the Woodlot, learning about Frogs and amphibians! We are planning to go ahead despite the rainy weather, so please come dressed for the weather!

Join us April 18th for our first "Walks in the Woodlot" of 2026. Denise from CORE Nature Experiences will be leading this educational walk about amphibians. FREE event and all are welcome! We have multiple great events planned for the year.

Walks in the Woodlot - Frogs & Amphibians
Spring evenings are alive with sound! Join local naturalist Denise Iszczuk for a fun, family-friendly walk to discover the frogs and other amazing amphibians that call the woodlot home. Learn their unique songs, uncover their fascinating springtime behaviours, and find out simple ways you can help protect these incredible creatures. It’s a hop, skip, and a splash into nature for all ages!

At night, the Eastern Screech Owl's call can be mistaken for dog's whine.
🦉Lives in Year Round in Southern Ontario
🦉Eats small animals like worms, insects, crayfish, frogs, mice and rabbits
🦉Doesn’t build a nest; Lays 2-6 white eggs in holes or cavities
🦉Nocturnal (it hunts for food at night)
