Different shirts. Same mission.

Team Rubicon Canada Greyshirts and The Home Depot Canada Team Depot Volunteers in their Orange continue to come together in their local communities, including Bolton, ON, Winnipeg, MB, Swan River, MB, and St. Catharines, ON, to assemble and distribute disaster relief kits.

Working side by side, Team Depot Volunteers and Team Rubicon share a commitment to showing up when it matters most.

Through this ongoing partnership, The Home Depot Canada has also provided critical supplies that support Team Rubicon Canada's on-the-ground response efforts, helping ensure communities receive needed support.

The conversations, camaraderie, and shared sense of purpose are a powerful reminder that building resilient communities takes all of us.

⚠️ Operation Benchmark Has Been Extended ⚠️

The work isn't done.

With the operation in St. Catharines and Lincoln, ON, now extended by an additional week, more Greyshirts are needed on the ground to help meet the ongoing demand for debris removal and residential muck-outs. Residents are grateful for the work our teams have been doing, and it's your opportunity to make a real impact by assisting this community.

We are now accepting registrations from Greyshirts outside of Ontario.
Whether you're local or making the trip in, your time and effort can help us reach more households and keep the operation moving forward.

Due to the demands of training, preference will be given to Greyshirts who can commit to multiple consecutive days.

Every pile of debris has a story behind it. Every cleared room, every loaded trailer, every muddy pair of boots represents a team of Greyshirts who showed up ready to help.

Operation Benchmark has been powered by Greyshirts willing to trade comfort for hard work and long days. Through the heat, the mud, and the challenges that come with this kind of work, they've kept showing up.

You know those people whose positive energy is instantly contagious? Cynthia is one of them.

After discovering Team Rubicon Canada through a Facebook video, Cynthia was inspired by the idea of becoming a kick-ass civilian ready to jump in, get their hands dirty, and help wherever needed. She didn't just feel inspired, she took action, completed the training, and became deployable as a Greyshirt. As a licensed therapist, she sees firsthand how even the smallest acts of kindness can create a ripple effect.

From supporting communities after disasters to simply checking in on someone and truly listening, Cynthia reminds us that service comes in many forms.

“What makes us humans is the fact that we can be there for each other when we need it.”

Supporting a disaster response takes more than boots on the ground. It takes a network of people and organizations willing to step up and help make the mission possible.

A sincere thank you to Vallen Canada, a trusted supporter of Team Rubicon Canada since our inception during the Fort McMurray wildfire response, for providing PPE that helped keep our Greyshirts safe while working in challenging conditions. Thank you to Enterprise for keeping our teams moving throughout Op Highwater with vehicle rentals and a generous donation, Royal Canadian Legion Br. 39 Swan River for feeding our volunteers and donating proceeds from its meat draw to Team Rubicon Canada, and to Kal Tire for donating over $5,000 in support of our mission.

Your generosity helped ensure our volunteers could stay safe, supported, and focused on serving communities impacted by flooding. We're grateful to have partners who stand beside us when it matters most and help make our work possible.

From the Frontlines with Greyshirt Stephen

A Canadian Forces veteran and recently retired teacher from Milton, ON, Stephen was looking for a meaningful way to continue serving others. He found it with Team Rubicon Canada.

When he saw the devastation in nearby St. Catharines, ON, Stephen didn't hesitate to deploy on Op Benchmark and support those affected. Along the way, he found something that reminded him of his military days: a team built on professionalism, camaraderie, care, and dedication.

"It's just like the army," says Stephen.
