Today, I honour more than a piece of fabric.
I honour choice, courage, and clarity

The hijab has never silenced me.
It has sharpened my voice.
It has reminded me daily that dignity is not granted by the world, it is claimed from within.

On World Hijab Day, I stand with women who wear it proudly, women who are questioned for it, women who are still deciding, and women who choose not to but fiercely defend the right to choose.

The hijab is not a barrier to ambition.
It is not a contradiction to confidence.
It is not the opposite of power.

For me, it has been an anchor grounding me in faith while allowing me to move freely through boardrooms, newsrooms, stages, and spaces where representation still matters.

May we continue to create a world where Muslim women are seen in their full humanity not explained, not reduced, not tokenized.

Today, we don’t ask for permission.
We show up.
We lead.
We belong.
