Prison Fellowship Canada Prison Fellowship Canada (PFC) is devoted to the restoration and transformation of those impacted by incarceration based on the life and teachings of Jesus.

The mission of Prison Fellowship Canada is to equip and mobilize the Canadian Christian community to respond to crime and engage in restorative, Christ-centred ministry to prisoners, former prisoners and their families. Prison Fellowship was founded by Chuck Colson, one of US President Nixon’s top aides who served a seven month prison sentence for pleading guilty to obstruction of justice related

to the Watergate scandal. During that time he saw and experienced the difference faith in Jesus makes in people’s lives. He became convinced that the real solution to crime is found through spiritual renewal. At Colson’s invitation, Paul Hellyer, a former Canadian cabinet minister, and a small group of friends in Ottawa, inaugurated the work in Canada in 1980, forming Prison Fellowship Canada. PFC’s Canada Revenue Agency charitable registration number is 13105 6848 RR0001. We are also a member of Canadian Council of Christian Charities.

We ask that the Lord would guide each step as they rebuild their lives. When the road ahead feels overwhelming, may the Holy Spirit bring peace, clarity, and direction. May they hear God's voice, trust in His leading, and find hope in knowing that He is with them every step of the way.

For many children with an incarcerated parent, summer camp can be a place where they experience the love of Christ and discover that they are deeply cared for.

Through our Angel Tree Camping program, children are given the opportunity to attend an accredited Christian camp at no cost to their families. They are welcomed into a caring community where they can experience God’s love through those around them and create memories that will last beyond the summer.

Prison Fellowship Canada (PFC) is seeking young adults between the ages of 18 and 24 who are interested in exploring prison ministry while gaining valuable volunteer experience as a Virtual Training Support volunteer.

Many of our volunteer and ministry training events are conducted online, and we are looking for individuals who are comfortable using Zoom and enjoy supporting others. In this role, you will play an important part in ensuring our virtual training sessions run smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity to develop leadership, communication, and technical facilitation skills while learning about a national Canadian Christian prison ministry.

Thank you to Pastor Rev. Daniel at Calvary Church Toronto for inviting our Chief of Staff, Raymond, to speak on prison ministry and how PFC serves those impacted by incarceration.

Today, we lift up those whose relationships have been affected by the distance created through crime and incarceration.

We pray that the Lord brings healing and restoration where there has been separation and deep hurt over time. We ask for opportunities for connection through letters, phone calls, and any pathway that allows communication to be rebuilt.
