The countdown is on! 30 days until the 2026 PYC Conference opens!

The use of AI has increased exponentially over the past couple of years - but can you use it effectively? Should your Employer encourage you to use it at work? Can you spot the use of AI in your personal and professional lives? We know that many Young Workers are working multiple jobs in order to pay their bills, but what happens if/when your job is replaced by AI? The PYC is excited to explore the answers to these questions at our upcoming conference as well as provide some insight and advice for Young Workers so you can continue the meaningful work you do every day. We'll also be hearing from some of our members regarding the use of AI from an equity point of view. We're excited to see you soon! 💥

In Canada, the last residential school closed in the late 1990s. At that time, many of our current PYC members were just babies and toddlers. This is a stark reminder that this tragedy is not distant history, it happened in our lifetimes.

Thousands of children were stolen from their families and robbed of their childhoods. Communities were shattered, and generations of languages and traditions were targeted for erasure.

While official apologies have been made, true reconciliation requires real action. The Canadian government continues to fall short on implementing the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action. We must continue putting pressure on elected officials to deliver real justice and meaningful repair to Indigenous communities.

The PYC stands in solidarity with Indigenous members. We remain committed to creating a safe space for Indigenous youth and young workers to explore their employment rights, build community, and demand equity in the workplace.
