⚽🇨🇦 We know how to celebrate Canadian soccer at PCYC! 🇨🇦⚽

One of the best parts of club life is having a reason to gather with friends, cheer on our favourite teams, and enjoy the waterfront together.

This Wednesday, members can catch Canada vs. Switzerland in the FIFA World Cup from the comfort of the Club, with multiple big-screen TVs, great company, cold drinks, and unbeatable lakefront views.

🍺 $3 OFF draught beer during Canadian games
🍟 Poutine
🦪 PEI Mussels & Fries
🍔 Alberta Bison Burger

Let’s be honest—watching the game lakeside with a cold beer in hand and fellow members cheering beside you is hard to beat.

Just one more reason membership at PCYC is about so much more than boating. Send us a DM to find out how you can join!

🇨🇦 Great game. Cold beer. Good food. Beautiful waterfront. Go Canada Go! 🇨🇦

⛵️ For 90 years, this tradition has brought our community together.

On Saturday, June 6, Port Credit Yacht Club celebrated its annual Sailpast, one of the most cherished traditions in boating and a highlight of the season for our members.

The day was filled with friendship, community, and celebration as members gathered to honour our Commodore, recognize long-standing members, celebrate our Past Commodores, and officially welcome another season on the water.

While the winds had other plans for the traditional procession on the lake, the spirit of Sailpast carried on. Commodore Lisa McKay and the Vice Commodores cruised throughout the harbour, visiting members at their docks, sharing smiles, and celebrating along the way! It was a beautiful reminder that the true heart of Sailpast isn’t the boats—it’s the people. 🫶

As Ward 1 Councillor Stephen Dasko noted, PCYC has been part of Mississauga’s waterfront community for 90 years, and we’re proud to continue that tradition today.

Here’s to friendship, tradition, and another incredible season on the water. ⚓️

⛵️ A tradition that connects generations.

This Saturday, Port Credit Yacht Club celebrates one of the most cherished traditions in boating: Sailpast.

Observed by yacht clubs around the world, Sailpast marks the official start of the season on the water. Members dress their boats with flags and burgees, and sail past the Commodore in a ceremony that honours the rich traditions of our sport.

But Sailpast is about more than boats. It's about friendship, community, and the shared experiences that bring us together on and off the water. As our Commodore recently reflected, many great ships sail the sea, but the best ships are friendships.

Members join us for a day of tradition, celebration, and connection, followed by an evening of dining, live music, and waterfront memories.

Curious about membership and becoming part of the tradition? Send us a DM — we’d love to welcome you to our community.

🎟 Dinner reservations can be made until Thursday, June 4.

And the fun continues Sunday with one of the club's most entertaining events of the season—the Blindfold Dinghy Race! Expect laughs, friendly competition, and plenty of memorable moments as teams navigate the course with one sailor blindfolded and the other calling the shots. 🚤😎

Here's to another unforgettable weekend at PCYC.
See you on the water. ⚓️

⛵️ The countdown is on for one of Lake Ontario’s most legendary offshore races.

𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚’𝙨 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙖𝙠𝙚! The Susan Hood Trophy Race! May 29th, 2026.

Hosted by Port Credit Yacht Club since 1955, the Susan Hood Trophy Race has become a rite of passage for offshore sailors and the unofficial kickoff to the distance racing season. 🌊🌙

This 75 nautical mile overnight challenge sends fully crewed yachts from PCYC to Niagara, around the Burlington Weather Tower, and back home to Port Credit — testing strategy, endurance, teamwork, and navigation through the unpredictable spring conditions Lake Ontario is known for.

Known by many sailors as “The Coolest Race on the Lake,” the Susan Hood is where crews shake down their boats, push their limits, and reconnect with the incredible offshore racing community that makes this sport so special. ⚓️

Good luck to all competitors this weekend — we can’t wait to welcome the fleet back to PCYC. 🔥
