Justice For All Canada Executive Director Taha Ghayyur shares a message of encouragement at the 9th Rohingya Genocide Remembrance Day event.

Thank you to the Rohingya Centre of Canada for hosting this gathering and allowing us to be part of it.

We continue to support the incredible work of the Rohingya Center of Canada and stand firm in our commitment to defending Rohingya human rights and dignity.

Since 2012, Justice For All Canada has been on the front lines demanding justice and protection for the Rohingya.

We continue to urge the Canadian government to renew its Rohingya multi-year strategy, increase its humanitarian funding for Rohingya refugees and facilitate safe refugee resettlement.

Today, and every day, Justice for All Canada stands in unyielding solidarity with the Rohingya people and calls for immediate, coordinated action to protect this vulnerable community from further harm. Let us stand together to break this cycle of impunity.

The RSS falls under the Sangh Parivar, a broad network that includes India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Both comprise a political ideology rooted in religious majoritarianism. Amnesty and Human Rights Watch have long documented BJP-RSS state-enabled discriminatory laws, hate speech, and violence against minorities.

The current RSS Chief, Mohan Bhagwat, is in the United States and is scheduled to arrive in Toronto on August 31st. We say NO to RSS.

Canada and the U.S. must not ignore these warnings!

To mark the International Day Commemorating the Victims of Acts of Violence Based on Religion or Belief, Justice For All Canada reaffirms its commitment to defending Uyghur human rights.

The Chinese Communist Party continues its systematic oppression of the Uyghurs in Chinese-occupied East Turkistan, effectively confining millions in an open-air prison simply for practicing their Islamic faith. The regime aggressively targets dissenting voices and has expanded its reach through transnational laws designed to punish critics beyond China's borders. This increases the risks faced by refugees and their families abroad.

Justice For All Canada urges the Canadian government to take decisive action by imposing targeted sanctions on officials responsible for these human rights abuses, and call on corporations to immediately sever ties with supply chains linked to Uyghur forced labor.

After Canadian authorities documented Indian foreign interference and transnational repression in Canada, the government cannot ignore the risk this visit poses to Sikh, Muslim, Christian, Dalit, Kashmiri and other affected communities in Canada.

We are calling on the Canadian government to reassess Canada's bilateral relationship with India and hold leaders who are complicit in grave human rights violations accountable.

Justice For All Canada continues to raise serious concerns about the RSS chief's visit to Toronto. The RSS and the BJP government are closely connected.

URGENT ACTION ALERT:

The Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem, Arieh King is scheduled to be in Toronto and Montreal in the coming days. The Israel Land Fund indicates that he will be in Toronto on August 25 and 26, and in Montreal from 26 to 30, with visits in the USA bookending his Canadian visit.

King led the campaign to expel UNRWA from East Jerusalem, in fact it “seems to be the brainchild of Jerusalem deputy mayor, Arieh King” according to The New Arab. In fact in January the “Jerusalem deputy mayor Aryeh King went further, calling for the killing of UNRWA staff members and referring to them as ‘Nazis’.”

King is directly responsible for illegal efforts to dispossess Palestinians from their homes in occupied East Jerusalem, and replace them with settlers, which is a war crime. He is an open racist, wanting “maximum Jews to own maximum land” and who calls Palestinians “natural swindlers.” He was investigated by police and condemned by the European Union for inciting violence and terror against the UN aid agency for Palestine refugees (UNRWA).
