The Hub (SeekersHub Toronto) is a community space that celebrates and nurtures the Prophetic qualities of love, beauty and mercy to facilitate learning, devotion, holistic health, connection, creativity, and community service. SeekersHub strives to promote the Prophetic way of excellence and sincere concern for God and God’s creation through:
[1] multiple levels of educational programs for the curious, new Muslims, Muslim students & professionals, and aspiring scholars;
[2] gatherings of remembrance, spiritual singing, and recitation of Qur’an, open to all;
[3] and through community service projects, such as feeding the needy. SeekersHub students, teachers and affiliates provide community services to all regardless of faith and background. All SeekersHub’s programs are complete free, and everyone is welcome. Scholarly Support
This project was begun with the encouragement, support, and guidance of leading mainstream Muslim scholars, including: Habib Umar bin Hafiz, Shaykh Nuh Keller, Habib Ali al-Jifry, Dr. Umar Abd-Allah, Imam Zaid Shakir, and others. Habib Umar gave the project the descriptive title, “the shining light” (al-siraj al-munir), which is one of the descriptive names of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
