Today, I am reaching out not as the Founder of SacredHand Canada, but as an aunt whose niece is fighting for her life.
Ghayda, the only daughter of my eldest sister, was only months away from completing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Perihilar Cholangiocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive bile duct cancer.
Since her diagnosis, she has endured countless hospitalizations, multiple procedures, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and repeated life-threatening infections. Despite her incredible strength and determination, the cancer has continued to spread, and time is running out.
After exhausting all available treatment options in the UK, Ghayda has now been accepted for a Dendritic Cell Vaccine and CIK Cell Immunotherapy Program in Turkey. This treatment offers renewed hope in controlling the cancer and preserving the possibility of a future life-saving liver transplant.
The cost of treatment, travel, accommodation, medications, and medical care exceeds CAD $500,000. Alhamdulillah, through the generosity of family, friends, and supporters, we have raised approximately CAD $150,000. However, we urgently need your help to raise the remaining amount.

SacredHand Canada is proud to introduce FADA – Funeral & After Death Assistance Program, a community initiative focused on supporting Muslim families with guidance, resources, and care during the loss of a loved one.

Join us for the official project launch, where community members will come together for meaningful discussions, panel conversations, Q&A, helpful resources, and dinner.

This event is designed to provide knowledge, comfort, and connection for individuals and families seeking to better understand Muslim funeral planning and after-death assistance.

This Eid ul Adha, SacredHand Canada partnered with Human Appeal Canada to provide food baskets to families experiencing food insecurity. Thanks to the generosity of donors, volunteers, and community members, households received essential food support during a meaningful time of year.

The story of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) is a story of complete trust in Allah. When he left Hajra (AS) and prophet Ismail (AS) in the desert, it was not easy but it was an act of faith and obedience. Hajra (AS) ran between Safa and Marwa searching for water for her son, and Allah blessed them with Zamzam, a source of relief that still benefits millions today.
The lessons of sacrifice, trust, and caring for others continue during these blessed days of Eid ul Adha. Today, many families are struggling to provide meals for their loved ones and facing food insecurity.
Through SacredHand Canada, your Qurbani can reach families who need it most and help bring food, relief, and comfort this Eid ul Adha.
