TEAMSTERS DELIVER 23.5% WAGE INCREASE AT SOBEYS!🔥

Three years ago, this group showed the world that they were prepared to FIGHT and fight they did, 13 week strike.

They stood together.
They stayed strong.
And they put SOBEYS ON NOTICE.

The Teamsters continue to show why we are a national leader in warehouse and distribution.

Fast-forward three years, and our Bargaining Team has delivered an incredible 23.5% WAGE INCREASE for our members at one of Canada’s largest grocery distribution warehouses.

And the wage increase is just ONE of the many improvements contained in this new agreement.

This is what happens when workers stand together.

After many days at the bargaining table, Teamsters Local 419 has secured its second collective agreement in less than a month that honours a true Teamster legend by establishing James R. Hoffa Day.

This historic, fully recommended tentative agreement not only recognizes the legacy of one of the greatest leaders in Teamster history, but also delivers meaningful improvements for our members through strong gains at the bargaining table.

BREAKING NEWS

The members of GoCold Solutions, one of Canada's oldest cold storage companies, have overwhelmingly ratified a historic new collective agreement with Teamsters Local Union 419.

The landmark agreement delivers industry-leading wage increases, the introduction of James R. Hoffa Day, and a wide range of enhanced benefits that recognize the hard work, dedication, and commitment of GoCold members.

"This agreement reflects what can be achieved when workers stand together in solidarity," said Jason Sweet, President of Teamsters Local Union 419.

"At the 31st International Brotherhood of Teamsters Convention, we were reminded of the tremendous impact James R. Hoffa had on our union's history and on the generations of Teamsters who followed. Securing James R. Hoffa Day in this agreement with one of our original employers is both meaningful and fitting. It honours our past while recognizing the strength of our members today."

"I am incredibly proud of Faheem Bhatti, Union Chair, and the entire bargaining team for their strength, unity, determination, and unwavering commitment throughout this process. Their leadership helped secure an agreement that our members can be proud of for years to come."

This historic agreement is yet another example of Teamsters Local Union 419 continuing to raise the standard across Canada's cold storage industry, delivering industry-leading wages, stronger benefits, greater workplace protections, and the respect that working people deserve.
