Towards a unique generation of Muslim Scouts Leaders in Canada

Aims to raise Muslim youth in Canada on Islamic ethics and morals as well as building a positive, independent personality with leadership characteristics. Our leadership development follows Scouts Canada’s “The Canadian Path” curriculum developing scouts through “plan – do – review” method to foster critical thinking, personal develop

ment, and team participation. This framework is enriched and repurposed through mentoring, discussion, reminders, activities and other theme-based Islamic content to deliver a holistic understanding of Islam and build the scout’s Islamic personality and character. Our program includes outdoor adventures such as camping, hiking, biking and climbing, and indoor activities such as STEM, leadership activities and other scouting skills. Hands-on orientation provides a practical method of learning and helps youth build confidence. Activities and games provide a fun way to develop skills and provide contact with nature and the environment when pursued in an outdoor setting. Youth learn in small groups to build unity and a family atmosphere. Developing the characteristics of responsibility, self-reliance, self-confidence, and readiness, the scouts eventually learn collaboration and leadership skills. An attractive program of varying activities expands a scout’s horizons and bonds the scout even more to the group. The 1st MAC Scouts Group is open for all the youth in the community.

What an amazing MAC Scouts Winter Camp ❄️🔥

Alhamdulillah, it was a truly beautiful experience that everyone enjoyed. The kids had an absolute blast and came home full of stories, smiles, and memories to share with their parents 😊

From movie night with popcorn, to delicious food — pancakes with maple syrup and fruits, burgers with veggies, shawarma wraps — and of course marshmallows around the campfire 🔥
Add to that hiking, team-building games, reading books in the wild, Islamic trivia, salat and azkar, board games, and so much more… it was the perfect mix of fun, learning, and brotherhood.

We truly hope this camp stays as a warm and joyful memory for every scout who joined us 🤍
A big thank you to our leaders, volunteers, and parents for making it all possible!

📢 MHS School Project Update – March, 14 2025

Pre-Registration: 405 students! Alhamdulillah, all kids registered so far should be to enroll in Sep 2025 or Sep 2026.
Almost full capacity for lower grades
Capacity: 50 students (25 students per classroom).
Total School Capacity: 675-700

💰 Financials:
- Collected: $2.3M ($1.6M qard hasan and $700K donations).
- Need to raise: $1.8M for 2025 ($900K for renovations and $900K return qard hasan).

Winter Hike & Sledding!

Our youth had a lot of fun and our beavers managed to overcome the fear of the steep hill 👏

Setting up tents in a gym training for spring and summer camp!
Cubs loved it and did not want to come out 😀
Sports session got really competitive with a true soccer game, basketball and pickleball.
Finally, everyone got a crash course on navigation and use of a compass. Finding the qibla will never be an issue for these our young leaders 👏

The winter camp is officially over.

All kids went back home safe and sound, Alhamdoulillah.
We had a great time in this winter camp, and youth had the opportunity to survive without their parents!

They enjoyed walking in snow by night, eating marshmallows sitting around a campfire (explained how to make one), playing together board games and team building challenges (Bouldering Wall, balance, boat and tug of war), playing soccer, cheers, sledding, reading books in the woods and making good friends.
We did our best to provide healthy meals, and hopefully, youth enjoyed it.

I would like to thank all our leaders that work really hard to prepare this winter camp and help our youth enjoy this unforgettable experience!

It’s STEM learning Time!

Our STEM activities today were organized like workshops or stations (Coding, Reflection & Logic/Reasoning Game, Science Experiments & Astronomy)!

Some of our youth showed great initiative and leadership supporting Coding activities and helping other scouts and our Astronomy hero Dany organized an interesting quiz about our solar system.
