We bring brain injury awareness, prevention and education to the communities within Peel and Halton. Over the past couple of years, brain injury stories have taken a prominent position in the news. More and more attention is being drawn towards the need to protect your head by wearing a helmet, concussions are being taken more seriously and there is a need for education. There are many consequence
s of a brain injury and we help our members find acceptance and answers. Presently, our association focuses on providing information to survivors and their families as well as facilitating measures to promote the prevention of brain injury, improving quality of care, education and research. BIAPH has also established the Yuri Mutiger Memorial Fund to provide respite care relief to family and friends providing ongoing care for the brain injured.
