What do you imagine an anti-trafficking hero looks like? For us, it looks a lot like Laura.

Laura is the Liaison Officer in our IJM UK office, and she helps justice systems in different countries work together.

She trains police, supports survivors, and helps rescue minors. In one case she worked on, her advocacy led to six arrests and one girl spared from being trafficked.

Laura is someone just like you who became aware of a problem and made a concise choice to become part of its solution.

The work to end human trafficking in our lifetime happens one step at a time, one task at a time, for as long as it takes, until all are free.

Our office launch in Poland marks a major step forward in the fight against human trafficking across the continent.

Why Poland?

Three reasons:
1️⃣ It shares borders with seven countries, making it a central hub for Europe’s trafficking routes.
2️⃣ The number of people migrating to escape conflict is rising, putting more at risk of trafficking.
️3️⃣ Poland’s anti-trafficking police unit is small compared to the scale of the problem.

That’s where IJM comes in.

We now have official agreements in place to work with local authorities, NGOs, and survivor leaders to work towards protecting 5 million children, women and men from exploitation.

Together, we’re building a strong, united front to stop traffickers and bring safety and freedom to those who need it most.
