Mississauga Centre MP Youth Council

Mississauga Centre MP Youth Council Member of Parliament for Mississauga Centre, Omar Alghabra's Youth Council It is crucial that Canadian youth take part in the political decision making process.

Last fall, Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau promised to create a Prime Minister’s Youth Council to give him direct advice on issues our country is currently facing. This is why I am launching a new initiative to bring youth together from across Mississauga Centre to engage in the federal political process. I want to hear from youth in my riding about issues that matter to them. I am inviting the you

th in Mississauga Centre from the ages 16 to 24 to apply for the Mississauga Centre MP Youth Council. The Youth Council will make it easier for young Canadians to have their say and voice their concerns and aspirations. The council will include high school students, post-secondary students and young professionals. The mandate of the council is for one year. Once selected, the council will meet several times throughout the year to discuss issues that matter to you, your community and your country. It will also allow you to educate and offer the local youth a sought after lens into government policies. If you’re interested in taking part in this initiative please take a few minutes to complete the application. If you have any questions please email: [email protected]
