From our monthly club meeting to Walk for Polio, games night, and tree planting, there are so many opportunities to get involved, meet great people, and make a meaningful difference in our community. 🌳🙌

Back in May, we welcomed Peel Regional Police Chief Nishan Duraiappah to our clubhouse for a conversation on building a safer community🤝🌱

From an engaging fireside chat and Q&A to networking, the evening was a reminder of what can happen when our community comes together!

Our hearts are full from yesterday’s bowling tournament.

We brought together more than 30 youth refugees. Who had never gone bowling. That have been in the country for less than three months.

What we heard:
- It was the best day since coming to Canada
- Hundreds of thank you’s and appreciation
- Many telling us they haven’t been doing okay. They have been vulnerable, depressed. We had one youth go through a mental breakdown just a half hour before this. We were able to convince them to come and staff were so happy to see how this social helped them engage and feel ok.

This wasn’t just a bowling tournament. It was a way to help reduce isolation, support mental well-being and create the confidence that later translates into education, employment and housing stability.

Thank you the four Rotary Clubs in Mississauga for sponsoring this initiative. Thank you to our members for your consistent support & helping to bring this idea to life!
