Hello Music Club!
As the year is coming to a close, we will need new members to step up and lead the club in the next fall term. Our election schedule is as follows:
March 25th to March 28th: Nomination Period
During the nomination period, you will be emailing applications to our CRO at [email protected] with your applications.
In your application, you must include your full name, student number, and short summary (up to 100 words) of why you would make a good candidate for the role.
The roles are:
President�: Represents the club and its objectives, scheduling meetings, communication with executives and organizations outside the club, and delegating tasks. These executives will be the club’s primary contacts and primary signing officers.
Vice President: Second in command to the president. Responsible for ensuring all positions are completing their tasks on time and accurately. Responsible for booking all rooms and submitting necessary documentation to maintain the clubs status.
Promotions & Events Coordinator: Organize, coordinate, and set up all club events. Responsible for advertising club events, as well as promotional merchandise. Responsible for creating all posters and advertising mechanisms for UMC Events, including social media.
Treasurer: Responsible for recording all decisions and progress of club meetings, documenting and organizing member information, as well as filing all important forms and information. They will also be responsible for managing all cash flow in and out of the club, researching for and drafting the club budget.
Talent Manager�: Responsible for recruiting and managing talent among the members. This executive is also responsible for holding auditions for bigger events such as UTM’s Got Talent or MOSAIC Charity Dinner for United Way
Technical Director: �Organizes and controls technical aspects of events, including but not limited to equipment rental, setup, and operation.
March 29th to March 31st: Campaigning Period
The campaigning period is when nominees advertise themselves to the student body. We encourage you to do so via social media rather than in person due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
April 1st to April 3rd: Election Period
Online voting polls will be open, and voting links will be emailed before that period. Only members are allowed to vote and all members are encouraged to do so.
