According to the United Nations High Commission for Refugees, there are approximately 4.1 Million Syrian refugees across the globe. This figure includes 2.1 million Syrians in the Middle East, 1.9 million in Turkey, as well as more than 24,000 Syrian refugees in North Africa. Millions of Syrians need our help. each them. This critical campaign is to sponsor refugees and connect them to the resources they need to survive and help their communities grow and recover from the disastrous situations. OUR GOAL
To fundraise for Syrian Refugee Sponsorship. Our goal is to sponsor 30 families by collecting $1,000,000. This fund will be preserved for Syrian refugees to Canada. It costs approximately $27,000 to sponsor one Syrian family and accommodate their expenses for one year. Sponsorship donations can be made either by cheques payable to Muslim Association of Canada (Syrian Family Sponsorship) and sent via mail to:

WHERE WILL THE DONATIONS GO? Your generous donations are the fuel that sustains our campaign in assisting the thousands of refugees who hope to build a better life for themselves and their families. The money will be distributed through accredited SAH (Sponsorship Agreement Holders) organizations in the country. Sponsorship Agreement Holders are incorporated organizations that have signed a sponsorship agreement with the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Canada. Specifically, the money donated will go towards easing the transition for the refugees here in Canada by:
- providing financial support of lodging, living and clothing supplies.
- providing medical care and other support services
- Education and language training
- Assisting in rent, utilities, and transportation
- Emotional and logistical support
Our organization is keen on ensuring that every dollar of your donation is used to help refugee families better their lives. EmbraceSyria is a 0% administrative fee campaign. Tax receipts will be issued to all donations made.
