Ontario Public Works Association (OPWA) The Ontario Public Works Association (OPWA) is a non-profit diverse organization of public works practitioners.

The Ontario Public Works Association promotes professional excellence and public awareness through education, advocacy and the exchange of knowledge regarding public works in Ontario. Our organization is a Chapter of the Canadian Public Works Association (CPWA) and the American Public Works Association (APWA). Our membership consists of approximately 520 public works practitioners employed by the

provincial government, municipalities, consulting engineers and suppliers. We are the third largest Chapter within the American Public Works Association, and consistently among the Chapter leaders in growth. Our membership has the broadest range of interest and expertise in the public works industry. APWA represents approximately 26,000 throughout North America. In the United States, the APWA offices in Kansas City and Washington are the voice of public works. The APWA is one of the largest and oldest organizations of its kind in North America.
