The Mississauga Majors Go 2 For 2 In Their Continued Legal Dispute against the Provincial Women’s Softball Association
Mississauga, Ontario – October 9, 2025 – The Mississauga Majors (Majors) are once again pleased to announce that they triumphed at the Ontario Divisional Court against the Provincial Women’s Softball Association (PWSA).
The PWSA appealed the previous court ruling that ordered it to grant membership to the Majors.
The court dismissed the PWSA’s appeal, confirmed the Majors met all membership criteria, and ordered the PWSA to pay all costs.
The court found that the PWSA’s interpretation of their own by-laws was not supported in facts and created intractable conundrums. The court further found that the PWSA denied the Majors application for reasons unrelated to their by-law criteria.
The Majors look forward to putting their legal battle against the PWSA behind them and concentrate on the friendly battles which Majors Girls Rep Softball Teams will face on the diamond.
As mentioned before, the Majors look forward to a productive and cooperative relationship with the PWSA, its board, and its members moving forward.
