Official Page of The Canada Central District Church of the Nazarene (Ontario). Today the Church of the Nazarene is located in 156 world areas.

The Church of the Nazarene is a Christian church in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition, tracing its roots to an anniversary date of 1908. It was founded to spread the message of scriptural holiness (Christlike living) across the lands. The Church of the Nazarene is a Great Commission church. Our mission is to make Christlike disciples in the nations. We believe that God offers to everyone forgiveness, peace, joy, purpose, love, meaning in life, and the promise of heaven when life is over by entering and experiencing a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We are called to take this message to people everywhere. The Church of the Nazarene is also a holiness church. We believe that Christians can experience a deeper level of life in which there is victory over sin, power to witness and serve, and a richer fellowship with God, all through the infilling of the Holy Spirit. The Canada Central District geographical area is the Province of Ontario. Our churches are located throughout the province from Ottawa in the east to Windsor to the west to Niagara in the south and Owen Sound in the north.

This may look like a church Thanksgiving dinner set up, but it's actually how Iglesia Hispana del Nazareno Bradford blesses their community!

On Saturday, October 17, DS Steve and Pat Ottley had the privilege of joining Pastors Juan and Janina Espino and our Bradford Spanish Church of the Nazarene for their 6th Annual Migrant Workers Thanksgiving Dinner.

What a wonderful evening of celebration, fellowship, and gratitude as over 200 migrant workers gathered for this special occasion!

These hardworking men and women make significant contributions to our communities and agricultural industry, sacrificing time away from their families and loved ones. It was a joy to come together to say THANK YOU and remind them how deeply they are valued and appreciated.

The church was honoured to have Bradford Mayor James Leduc and several members of Town Council join us for this celebration.

A special thank you to TNO (The Neighbourhood Organization) for partnering with Bradford Spanish Church to sponsor this annual event, now in its sixth year!

Our heartfelt appreciation to Pastors Juan and Janina Espino, their congregation, and all the volunteers and partners who continue to demonstrate the love of Christ through such meaningful expressions of hospitality, compassion, and community partnership.

This is the Church being the hands and feet of Jesus, blessing our neighbours and sharing His love in practical ways!

To God be the glory!

DS Steve and Pat Ottley were blessed to worship with the Toronto Emmanuel Spanish Church yesterday, Sunday, October 4. It was a wonderful, Spirit-filled service of praise, and DS Steve Ottley was grateful for the opportunity to share from God’s Word.

Emmanuel is experiencing tremendous growth, with prayer at the heart of it! On the first Saturday of each month, the sanctuary fills for the church’s corporate prayer gathering as the church lifts up children, youth, and adults before the Lord.

Many are coming to faith in Christ and being baptized. We praise God for what He is doing through this church family and its faithful commitment to prayer. To God be the glory!

Our District NDI Board gathered at Altona Connect Church in Pickering on Saturday, October 3, 2026, for a meaningful Prayer Summit and Board Meeting.

Kerby Stavropoulos led a dynamic, interactive time of prayer, including Listening Prayer—pausing to listen to what the Spirit is saying.

NDI Board Chair Jan Ong shared insights from her recent attendance at the District NDI Presidents Conference in Kansas City and guided the board through a review of the activities and resources NDI provides for our local churches.

It is encouraging to see God aligning NDI’s vision with our District vision, including its partnership with our District Ministry Training Centre (DMTC). We thank God for these leaders as they help equip our churches to make Christlike disciples!

This week, we ask you to pray for Cambridge Preston Church of the Nazarene, led by Pastor Andrew and Paige Brown.

Pray for growing connections with their community through their partnership with the Freedom Centre and outreach ministries, including Youth Gym Night, Boardgame Night, Community Neighbourhood Table, Clothing Ministry, and Stitches.

Praise God for the new relationships being formed and for those who have begun attending their midweek Bible study!

We also give thanks for the wonderful spirit of unity among our Nazarene churches. Over the past few years, other congregations have come alongside Cambridge, supporting and encouraging them as they continue their ministry. Today, the Cambridge congregation worships with Brantford on Sunday mornings. Praise God for churches strengthening one another, and pray for His guidance as Cambridge looks toward resuming worship services in 2027.

On Sunday, September 27, DS Steve and Pat Ottley joined our Toronto Grace of God Spanish Church for a wonderful, Spirit-filled worship service. What a joy to gather with this church family and experience their warmth, faith, and love for one another!

We are grateful for Pastor Gena Torres, who has faithfully pastored the congregation since 2014. We thank God for her leadership and for this ministry in the heart of the city. May the Lord continue to bless Grace of God Spanish Church as they share the hope of Christ with their neighbours!

Pastoral ministry is so much more than what happens on Sunday mornings. Across our district, pastors faithfully serve their churches and communities in countless ways. We are so thankful for each of them!

We also want to give a special thank you to our District Superintendent, Pastor Steve Ottley, who carries the responsibility of caring for and supporting our pastors and churches. He spends so much of his time encouraging, guiding, and praying for those who lead our congregations.

Would you take a moment to pray for your pastor?

Pray for their family, their ministry, and their own walk with Jesus. And please remember Pastor Steve and his family in your prayers too.

To all our pastors, thank you for loving God and His people so faithfully. We appreciate you!

On Saturday, September 26, nearly 40 people joined us in person and online for the Board of Ministry and District Ministry Training Centre’s Vocational Pastoral Information Session at Impact Church of the Nazarene in Unionville.

Some were just beginning to sense God’s call; others are already serving with a local or district minister’s license. District Superintendent Steve Ottley, Board of Ministry Secretary Pastor Tina Pitamber, and DMTC Director Pastor Tamara Hudson shared about the journey of discerning a call and preparing for ministry.

What an encouragement to see that God is still calling people to serve! We are praying for each person taking their next step.

On Saturday, September 26, Hispanic women from across the Canada Central District gathered at Toronto Emmanuel Spanish Church for Women of Hope. This annual conference brings women from our Spanish churches together for worship, encouragement, and fellowship.

We were grateful to welcome Sue Del Valle as our guest speaker. The day was an opportunity to renew friendships, make new connections, and encourage one another in faith.

Thank you to Toronto Emmanuel Spanish Church and everyone who helped make this year’s gathering possible. We celebrate the women whose faith and service bless their churches and communities throughout the year!
