Family Camp takes a lot of people serving behind the scenes, and this year we were blessed with a wonderful team of volunteers in the kitchen!

Our new Executive Director, Sandeep Mukhiya, and his wife, Nicky, organized food services for the week, with Nicky’s family faithfully serving as the kitchen crew for several days.

Three of our district churches also generously volunteered to provide the kitchen crew for a full day: Cedardale Church, Barrie Pan de Vida Church and Bradford Spanish Church. We’re so thankful for each congregation and for the pastors who encouraged their churches to serve: Pastor Grant Verdold, Pastor Diego Santos, and Pastors Juan and Janina Espino.

We especially loved seeing young people from Bradford Spanish serving in the kitchen. It’s a wonderful example of young people living out their faith by serving others in practical ways.

Thank you to everyone who cooked, prepared, served and cleaned throughout the week. You were a blessing to our entire camp family!

And as we look ahead to Family Camp 2027, we’d love to see even more of our district churches volunteer to serve as the kitchen crew for a day. It’s a practical way to serve together, build relationships across our district and bless the Family Camp community.

This week we ask you to pray for Tabernaculo Evangelico Del Nazareno led by Pastor Rafael and Lucy Reyes. Pray that God will continue to strengthen the church, lead them with wisdom, and use them to reach their community with the hope of Christ.

Last week was Family Camp!

For 80 years, Nazarenes from across Ontario have gathered for a week of worship, time in God’s Word, fellowship and life together. This year, Dr. James Pedlar taught during the morning sessions and Dr. Elmer Gillett spoke each evening.

Stepping away from our everyday routines gives families time to reconnect, friendships time to grow and people of all ages the opportunity to grow in faith alongside their CCD family.

Camping has deep roots in the Church of the Nazarene. Family Camp has changed a lot over 80 years, but the heart of it remains much the same: setting aside time to seek God and grow together in Christian community.

Riverview Camp itself is part of that story. For generations, volunteers and cottage owners have given their time, gifts and energy to care for the grounds and make it a place where our district can gather.

We’re grateful for another year together and for the many people who continue to invest in this ministry and our camp family. We hope you'll consider joining us next year at Family Camp - rent a cottage, bring your tent or trailer, or just drive up for a day!

This week we ask you to pray for Barrie - Pan de Vida, led by Pastor Diego and Maria Santos.

Pray for Bread of Life Christian Academy, asking God to bring the right families to the school. Pray that He would provide financially for families who desire Christian education but need support, and that He would continue to guide and bless the academy according to His purpose.

Pray that God would raise up a faithful Youth Leader who will shepherd, disciple, and invest in the next generation of young people.

Pray for wisdom and discernment as the church seeks to follow God's vision. Ask Him to give the leadership clarity, courage, and strength to make the right decisions at the right time, while faithfully teaching and discipling those who are growing in their faith.

Pray that every member of the congregation would be filled with the Holy Spirit, boldly sharing the gospel and living as faithful witnesses for Christ in every season and every opportunity.

On Sunday, July 19th, D.S. Steve and Pat Ottley visited our Quinte West Church. This was the first Sunday following the death of their beloved pastor, Rev. Norm Sheets.

The service was moving as the church family worshiped together in the midst of their grief. D.S. Steve share a message of comfort and hope and the led in a time of sharing, allowing the congregation to reflect on their memories of Pastor Norm.

The funeral service was held at the Quinte West Church on Friday, July 24th. Please continue to pray for the Quinte West Church family and Pastor Norm's family.

Family Camp is happening now, and there's still time to join us as we celebrate 80 years!

Enjoy daily services at 10:30 AM and 7:00 PM, meals at 8:30 AM, 12:00 PM, and 5:00 PM, plus children's and youth Bible times, worship, games, campfires, and special events like Family Fun with NDI, Pastors Day, Ladies Tea, and Family Fun + Youth Service.

Pastor Pedro Fernandez (Toronto Emmanuel Spanish) share the good news that on Saturday, July 4, they held the baptism of 22 new believers from the Woodbridge and Emmanuel Spanish churches.

He also shared how glorious it was for he and Pastor Belkis Fernandez (Woodbridge Spanish) see their first two grandchildren testifying to Christ at their baptism. Praise God!
