🏀 Discover inclusive sports and try something new!

Cruisers Sports is bringing its annual Multi-Sport Try It Day back to Mississauga on Saturday, August 22.

Participants can experience para ice hockey, wheelchair basketball, para athletics and boccia—all in one place. The event is free, equipment will be provided and no previous experience is required.

Individuals with physical disabilities will be given priority, while friends and family members are also welcome to participate as time and equipment allow. On-site interpreters may also be arranged for participants and families who require language assistance.

Accessible events like this help remove barriers, encourage active living and create opportunities for people of all abilities to connect. This reflects MBA’s goal to grow Meadowvale by supporting an inclusive, healthy and welcoming community where everyone can participate and thrive.

🌿 Explore, observe and help protect Mississauga’s natural environment!

Become a citizen scientist at The Riverwood Conservancy’s fourth annual Summer BioBlitz, happening Saturday, August 22 and Sunday, August 23.

Explore Riverwood and record observations of the plants and animals you discover. Participants can explore independently or register for guided programs featuring birding, tree identification and aquatic invertebrates. All ages and levels of nature knowledge are welcome!

Initiatives like the Summer BioBlitz bring people together while building greater awareness and appreciation for our local environment. This reflects MBA’s goal to grow Meadowvale by supporting a healthy, connected and sustainable community where residents and businesses can thrive.
